The Week of Healing (March 16)

This week was a lot of healing. Both mentally and physically. Elder Winkel, poor guy, was inside all week because he has, you guessed it, pneumonia! so that is fun to deal with. This was not the week to get sick, though, cause e had one of the Area Presidency come and visit and have a zone conference for us. So we had to go to that! So we woke up at 4:45 to catch the train. And we ran to make the villamos and the train. Well, that was not a good combo for our sick buddy.. He ended up making it to the train station and passing out for a few seconds because his blood pressure shot down so fast. umm, scary. so the train cops called the ambulance and the paramedics came and take a look at him and say hes fine, just needs some fluids and to eat something. they offered to take us to the hospital, but we declined since we needed to be in Budapest in a few hours. so we go back into the train station and wait for the next train to Budapest and get on! we made it back home safely that night at about 8 pm. so that was a full day. :) oh, and President Kearon was an incredible speaker! go and listen to his talk about scorpions!

so there was that. the rest of the week we took turns watching elder winkel at home, while the others went out and did missionary work. it was alright, just kinda slow of a week. then on SUnday, we went up to Miskolc for a district conference and we got to see a ton of old investigators and friends. :) No, Winkel didn't go! he stayed home this time with another elder.
Then today, on P-day, we went to Hortobágy, a city known for its whips and thats about it haha. so we bought some whips and had fun being REALLY loud with them. :)
And that was about our week. Basically, I learned that God loves His children. I mean, I already knew that. But it was nice to see a little reminder and remember that God really is there!
Have a great week! Love you all tons!

Week of the Sick (March 9)

Well, this week was a little harder. My companion was sick for a lot of the week, I guess some bug is going around. But he is feeling better, and we are excited to actually go out and do some work! Its about time to hit the streets!
We have not a whole lot to report. Did have a fun run in with an old néni that we are convinced is senile. haha. she didnt even have pants on when she came to the door, but invited us in and went off for about 90 minutes about her life. we did give her a Book of Mormon, but I doubt this will go anywhere... hahaha.
anyways, stay happy and safe! love you all. :)

24. (Feb 17)

well, this week was a little harder. we dont really have any investigators, but the few that we are teaching all cancelled on us this last week. so we ended up spending 24 hours either tracting, talking to people on the streets, or some other form of finding, looking for people to teach. kinda rough... but! we love the people and being missionaries, so we do it with a smile! :)
in other news, we got to go to Budapest this last couple days and were able to see a lot of old friends and companions! Its always good to see old friends. :)
have a great week! enjoy the love of God and remember the incredible amount of blessings He has given you! :)

Well. There Goes That. (Feb 9)

So this week was a lot of the same. Mostly going streeting, doing some tracting, and all-around trying to find SOMEONE to meet with and teach haha. Okay, I make it sound worse than it is. We have like 5 or 6 people who we meet with. It is just not too easy cause we dont have any kind of history to work with. we are the start, the beginning. So, we have a lot to do haha.
The weather was pretty nice, it even snowed a little! :) oh man, i love the snow. :) but even more than the snow, I love this work! I love being a missionary and teaching people and helping them and being out here for a long time. :)
Have a great week! I love you, each and every one! :)

New. Everything. (Feb 2)

Well, this week was a little crazy. Mostly because I started a new... everything! New city, new companion who is a brand new greenie!, new apartment, and basically nothing to do all day other than talk to people on the streets! Not a bad gig. But I do miss having people to actually meet with haha.
So, in other news, it was snowing all day today! :D Hopefully it sticks and we get a lot of snow to play with! :D
Well, have a great week! I love you all tons. Make sure you remember who Jesus is, and be like Him. It will make Him happy. and you!

Just the Right Amount of Snow for a Baptism (Jan 27)

So this week was really really good! 2 big things happened: I baptized someone, and then I just got the transfer call today that I am leaving!

The baptism was a little girl, 9 years old, and she is super cute! Her and her brother and cousin got baptized, and they were awesome! We had a really good baptism, and it even snowed all day Saturday! It was a neat thought to think about the purity of the freshly fallen snow and the symbol of baptism and how the Lord was sooo happy, He couldnt help but let it snow. :) Needless to say, I was ecstatic about the snow! :D Haha. So that was goooood. :)

And from tomorrow, I will be in Debrecen! This might turn out to be my last area of my mission..! Kinda crazy. But I am going there and opening up a companionship, which means there was no companionship there before me, I will be starting from scratch. (luckily there are 2 other companionships there, one elders and one sisters.) AAAANNND, I will be traning there. haha, I am very nervous..! But! I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for me. :) It will be awesome. :D

Love you all! Have a grrrreat week! :)
