Easter, the 2-day ordeal (April 22)

Well Happy Easter! It's a little late, but its the thought that counts, right? :) Here in Hungary, Easter is a two-day event, which means everything is shut down on Easter Monday as well! This week was kinda slow. With the holidays, people spent time with family. Which I am so glad for, yet as a missionary, it is so hard because people dont want to talk to us haha. But we were able to talk to our investigators and talk about the Savior, which is always a good thing.

This week we also colored Easter eggs with the senior couple and had some fun with a member who fed us lunch. Its the little things that make the difference.

Things are going well. Hopefully they will pick up after the Easter season blows over. And summer is on its way! Lets get out and have some fun! :) Love you all! Have a great week!

Sorry, I am out of good ideas for these... (April 14)

So this week was a little slower. Since we went to the palace last Tuesday, we havent done a whole lot. This week was a lot of looking for people to hear the gospel, and meeting with the ones that actually do. our investigators are both getting ready for baptism, they just both have such unique problems. one, Erzsi, is a smoker. and she is having a big struggle giving up her lifetime of traditions in the Catholic church. she wants to be baptized and join the Church, but she is having kinda a rough time. the other one is Linda, the sweetest lady ever! she really wants to be baptized also, she is just really worried about what her family will say. she is great, but too scared to not have her family's approval. we are working with others, but all are less serious at the moment.

In other news, Easter is just around the corner! I absolutely love this time of year. Yeah life is hard. In all honesty, life sucks sometimes. but the great part about life is the end. Or what people call the end. But in reality, because of our Savior Jesus Christ, is just the beginning. I know that Christ lives. I know that there is a plan for us so much bigger than us, yet at the same time a plan that cannot work without us. Jesus is the Savior of the world, and the one that made it possible to live again. I suggest everyone go to:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_S3TI4bYerU and enjoy the amazing new video about Christ. He lives! Let the world know. :)

Stayin' in Sopron! (Apr 8)

So another mini transfer has come and gone. but this time--nothing happened! at least, not with me. I will be staying in this city with the same two companions, Elders Waldvogel and Sterri. And we are so excited. :) It has been a great start already, and it will continue to be amazing!

In other news, we havent had much going on in the way of work. We meet with people and go out to find them, but it is not easy. and there are not a whole lot of people who are ready and want to hear about the gospel. either they are few in numbers, or we are looking in all the wrong places! haha.

This week, we went to a palace on P-Day! It was so pretty, and the weather has been soo nice, so it made the picnic we had outside even more enjoyable. :)

Keep up the amazing work, beloved family and friends. I know God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Go out and find what that purpose is. God is ready and willing to help you figure it out. So go! Dont fear, and dont think about the hard things. Just about how good you have it and how much God loves you. :) And me too! Love you all! Have a great week!

The Week of Adventure! (Mar 31)

Well, this week was a little closer to average than I would have liked. But! We also had a good share of adventures too! :) haha. For example, on Saturday, we saw a whole bunch of little stands and stuff in the city main square, so we went over there to see what was going on--turns out there was a concert there! haha but it was mostly old people, hahahahaha, soo funny. :) so we spent a little time there, but mostly just walked around and then decided to go home for dinner hahaha.
Then Sunday was a little adventure! We went to Austria! hahaha. so Sopron is RIGHT on the border of Austria, and there is a park, called the pan-european park, where we had a picnic with the missionaries and the branch presidents family. the park is a few.. well feet from the border haha. so we went a few feet into Austria! hahaha. :) We then decided to go somewhere else o eat, and there was a little watchtower, and the view was GORGEOUS. seriously amazing.
I absolutely love it here. It is never easy, but it is always worth it. :) Love you all tons! And remember! Easter is coming, so I challenge you to remember why Jesus Christ is so important to all of us. Have a great week!
